5 Ways On How To Hang Paintings

Whether you bought something off my shop or you have a painting of your own, you may be curious as to what you can do with them. If you are receiving paintings in hopes of decorating your interior of your home then hanging them up is the best way to do so.

Hanging paintings are simply my favorite way of how I can make use of them. I like when visitors come over my place, it can be noticed by them and complete an area of the place. Art makes the world go ‘round, but art makes the place looking stellar too.

Hanging paintings doesn’t only have to be hung by frames, but you can utilize other things to have them hung. If you’re short on supplies, these would be 5 simple, great ways on how to hang them. Also, this article mostly applies to paintings that are on paper and very thin canvas.

Magnets

Magnets only work if you place it against a fridge or a magnetic area, of course. Depending on how big your painting is, it would need a few magnets or a huge one. You would choose magnets that fit its size and strong enough to hold it up.

Push pins

You may find some just laying around your desk or office and if you got extras, make use of them now! You can stick it against the wall or stick it on a cork bulletin board.

Frame it!

The most common way and also the most prettiest way to display your paintings is framing it. I’m a minimal girl at times, so I like to use simple black frames and that’s fitting for most interiors. You can match your frames according to what theme you have going on with your place and maybe pops of colors is your jam. If you have multiple paintings, put them all in frames and arrange them adjacent to each other to really showcase your paintings at once.

Good old tape

Another item to easily find around your desk! The best way to use tape to hang your paintings is to fold the tapes together so it becomes a stick-able “one sided” tape and put it on the back of them. If your preference is to simply tape it over the paintings, well I don’t highly recommend to tape it over because it may rip parts of your canvas if you decide to take it off your wall. You want to keep your paintings in good condition as possible!

Letting it lean against the wall, standing on a table/shelf

Thanks to gravity. It doesn’t require any extra supply. Depending on how heavy the canvas is, it will stand nice and straight when placed on top of a table or shelf. This could also be a last resort.

I hope you guys found this post helpful to give you ideas of what to do next when you receive my paintings! Also, you may have noticed I did not mention command strips at all because that can damage your canvas and may be hard to remove off of it if you decide to take it off from hanging.
